NIGHTBIRD DANCES

Friday, February 12, 2010 - Sweethearts Dance

Themed dances are held one Friday per month from 7-9pm at Eastmonte Park. Refreshments are provided.

Cost is $2 per participant and $1 per companion/family member/guest.

Prizes awarded for dance contest winners, costume contest winners & birthdays! If you have a group home or a large party, please call in advance and we will reserve your group a table(s).

STOP TRIPS

"Saturday Time Out for Parents"

STOP Trips take place one Saturday a month and are socially, physically and educationally beneficial field trips. Cost: $3 per person with lunch provided. *Feel free to send souvenir money for trips*

Lake Brantley South, 1010 Sand Lake Road, Altamonte Springs, Fl 32714  (Gymnasium is located ACROSS the street from LBHS. Enter into Forest City Elementary (2nd Street Light) Park by the bus loop and follow side walk to the back gymnasium on the right of the school. )

Program Cost:
$20 for special needs participants only. FREE for volunteer dance partners. Non refundable. Space Limited. *Financial Assistance Available if Needed.

BOWLING PRACTICES

Every Monday Excluding Holidays

Practice is held every Monday, excluding holidays, at the Altamonte AMF Lanes from 3-5pm. Cost is $1.75/game. Scores are recorded throughout the year and trophies are awarded at the Banquet with participant's high score.

THURSDAY NIGHT OUT

Westmonte Park from 7:30pm-8:30pm

"Thursday Night Outs" are held on Thursday evenings, excluding the 1st Thursday of the month. They are designed to allow participants to get together and just have some fun! Events are held at Westmonte Park and time has changed to 7:30-8:30pm. Cost: $1.00 with refreshments.

*Please let us know if you will be attending the cooking class.

Our Special Needs Belly Dancers & family members meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month to exercise & prepare for performances. Location has been changed to Eastmonte Park from 6:30-7:30pm. Cost: $1.00/person. (Practice held once a month during Jan/Feb and Jun/July)

SPAGHETTI DINNER

Join us at Eastmonte Park Civic Center on Friday, February 26 between 5pm-8pm for a great meal! Cost is $7.50 for Adults and $5.50 for Children under 12.

Menu: Salad, Spaghetti, Breadsticks, Apple Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream, Orange Drink, Iced Tea and Coffee.

All Proceeds Benefit The Advisory Board for the Disabled, Inc.  

2010 WINTER CAMP

Campers have been enjoying themselves during the first month of Winter Camp. They went cosmic bowling, visited the Orlando Fire Museum, took a tour of the new Orlando Fire Station and visited the Altamonte Springs Police Jail.

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Ages 5 and up

PLAY YOUR WAY, developed by Physical Therapy students from UCF, provides FREE opportunities for children ages 5-12 with special needs to participate in fitness activities while interacting with others. For more information, visit www.PlayYourWay.webs.com 

BAMBINO BUDDY BALL This division encompasses players ages 5-20 who are either physically and/or mentally challenged. This division makes allowance for a "buddy" to help the player swing a bat, round the bases, catch a ball, etc. Register today to take part in the March season. Please make sure to turn in your 2010 Medical Form. These must be on file for participants to take part in our activities. Forms do not need a doctors signature and can be completed by the parent or guardian. They can be mailed to you or can be downloaded by clicking here.
