Join us at Eastmonte Park for entertainment by "Sky's the Limit Music". Refreshments will be available. Games & tons of fun for all ages! Prizes for the best costumed couple & individual plus lots more!

Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Tickets available at Westmonte Park Office or Eastmonte Civic Center.

"Saturday Time Out for Parents" 

STOP Trips (Saturday Time Out for Parents) take place one Saturday a month and are socially, physically and educationally beneficial field trips. Cost: $3 per person with lunch provided. *Feel free to send souvenir money for trips*

FOR THIS TRIP ONLY, RESERVATIONS WILL BE COLLECTED ON THE RSVP DATE AND RANDOMLY DRAWN OUT OF A HAT. Participants who are selected will be notified between Saturday October 3 thru Monday October 5. Usually, reservations are taken in the order received, but this trip has very limited space and a high interest level.

NIGHTBIRD DANCES

Friday, October 23, 2009 - HALLOWEEN BASH

Themed dances are held one Friday per month from 7-9pm at Eastmonte Park. Refreshments are provided.

Cost has increased to $2 per participant and $1 per companion/family member/guest.

Prizes awarded for dance contest winners, costume contest winners & birthdays! If you have a group home or a large party, please call in advance and we will reserve your group a table(s).

BOWLING PRACTICES

Every Monday Excluding Holidays

Practice is held every Monday, excluding holidays, at the Altamonte AMF Lanes from 3-5pm. Cost is $1.75/game. Scores are recorded throughout the year and trophies are awarded at the Banquet with participant's high score.

THURSDAY NIGHT OUT

Westmonte Park from 7-8:30pm

"Thursday Night Outs" are held on Thursday evenings, excluding the 1st Thursday of the month. They are designed to allow participants to get together and just have some fun! Events are held at Westmonte Park from 7-8:30pm. Cost: $1.00 with refreshments. Please Click Here for Schedule.

BALLROOM DANCING

The Central Florida Chapter of USA Dance has been teaching a workshop on Sundays from 1:30-2:30pm at Lake Brantley South (Gymnasium across the street from LBHS).

Participants are having a great time and have already learned to dance the merengue and the swing.

 "PLAY YOUR WAY" - YOUTH PROGRAMS

Play Your Way was developed by Physical Therapy students from the University of Central Florida to provide FREE  opportunities for children ages 5-12 with special needs to participate in fitness activities while interacting with others in the community. "Play Dates" will be held at Westmonte Park from 9-11am.

SPARKLERS CHEERLEADING SEASON FIVE

Space is limited

Registration for new team members will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Lake Brantley South from 4-5pm.  

Practices will begin on Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009 until April of 2010. Athletes range in ages and are divided into 3 different performance squads. Each group prepares for local competitions, performances, parades, and other community events. Please contact Nin for more info.

 CONGRATULATIONS BARBARA COSTANZO

Congratulations on receiving the 2008-2009 Special Community Services Award at the Annual Eddie Rose Awards Night.

Barbara was recognized for volunteering at many City events, but devotes countless hours to our special needs cheerleading squad; known as the Altamonte Sparklers. Barbara has been volunteering as a Team Mom for many years and her contributions are essential to our 55 member squad. Whether she is keeping track of paperwork, collecting uniforms, or chaperoning an overnight trip, we can always count on Barbara to get the job done right and with a positive attitude.

We would also like to congratulate the other nominees of this award: Carolyn Bayer and Marie El-khoury.
